Omg! Best ice cream in Marco Island! Not only was the Ice cream great, but that witty British owner, Nigel made me and my family laugh our heads off. The owner was very kind, and had something for everyone. My brother is allergic to nuts and eggs and we were able to find options for him to choose from. Everything is fresh, homemade and delicious. Me and my family stayed in Marco island for a week and went here 5 out of the 7 days we were there. We stayed right by a cold stone across the street, but we preferred going to chocolate strawberry. My family, my cousins and locals love it here and it is so worth it trying Nigel's homemade, original, flavors

Very cute, service was great lots of choices for ice cream and great selection of chocolates . The best part was the owner who was very personable and was great with the kids! Love this place! Will definitely be back and will tell friends and family,

The owner is very friendly which makes this tough for me to write this review, because the ice cream is just average. To top it off, the sign behind the counter with the pricing is deceiving because it says one, two or three scoops for a certain price but what you do not see is near the middle of the blackboard is another set of pricing for a cup or cone. The cup in itself is about $1.75 - $2 (I forget the price exactly), but it makes getting a cup of ice cream with one or two scoops pricier than getting a larger "love it" or "gotta have it" ice cream at Cold Stone. I don't remember the exact price but two scoops in a cup came out to about $6+. This place does have more than just ice cream however. They have chocolates and fudges and other candies and some small items to buy. It's not a big establishment, but they do have a few tables and seats inside to sit and eat your ice cream.

They have chocolates, icecream, gelato and novelty gifty-things. Unlike other reviews, I've been to this new location quite a few times and have never encountered anything less than exceptional service. The store is locally owned by a British couple and the man is really, really nice. The Peanut Butter Chip gelato is absolutely AMAZING!!! I love it and so does my husband! We will come back again and again.

The double dark chocolate gelato was awesome! I also tried a sample of the chocolate peanut butter gelato which was wonderful as well. The shop owner was a very sweet gentleman.

All the ice cream is made at the shop. We had the banana ice cream and rum raisin gelato. Both were excellent and the scoops were large. We would recommend as a nice locally owned ice cream parlor.

This place was really dirty. It looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. Too add insult to injury, the ice cream was not good at all. The chunks of cookie dough in my ice cream, which should be doughy, shattered at the bite like artificial chocolate chips. The homemade candies in the display case looked to be very old. Don't go. They accept credit cards, but only very begrudgingly.

Very delicious ice cream with a very friendly ice cream maker. The homemade ice cream is the best on the island by far. The price is just right as well. If you want a fun experience and quality sweets this is the place to go. Don't settle for anything less.

True Detroit Coney Island style food, great service, Oberon on tap and tall PBR in a can :). Stop in and say Hi to Kirk, his dad "Uncle Jerry", and play a game of "wall hooky". Wish we were going to be in town longer so we could come back!

Sorry. Really. This place is just a sad and awkward place to be in. Needs to get rid of kitsch and knick-knack souvenirs and focus on the food. Should probably just do chocolates or just do ice cream. None of it was good. Presentation and store ambiance was abysmal. Maybe they were just hidden, but there was not a single chocolate-dipped strawberry in sight. The ice cream I ordered tasted old. Most of it looked old. No softserve. Even the cashier (owner?) looked miserable.

Best ice cream shop on the island. Took my family there 3 nights in a row while on vacation. Homemade ice creams and gelato are absolutely delicious. Probably the best I have ever had. The owners are sweethearts as well. Highly recommended!!!!

We stopped in here after eating a very good dinner and we needed some ice cream. Unfortunately we didn't order any. Place smells awesome when you walk in with all sorts of delicious looking chocolate treats, but as we wound our way over to the ice cream I watched as the woman behind the counter scooped some VERY soft and partially melted ice cream onto a cone for someone while snapping at another guy who asked if they had a certain flavor (they didn't) . Anyway, the place was a bit disorganized and the ice cream didn't look awesome so we actually turned and walked out? Chocolate all looked great, but I was on vacation and didn't want soft hard ice cream so we went elsewhere. Can't kill the place since I didn't eat the ice cream so I'll give them three stars. Hopefully the woman behind the counter was just having a bad day...

Stayed in Macro Island for 1 week... stumbled on this place one night looking for some ice cream. We went in an looked at all the flavors, they all sounded delicious. We ended up going back a few days later. The first time I got the Chocolate Strawberry, and the second trip I got the Peanut Butter Chip gelato. I loved them both. The owner waited on us both times, he was very friendly and personable, I wish I had something like this at home.

Stopped in for some gelato and was not disappointed. Friendly service, free samples and a great selection. After trying a few different flavors, ended up with the triple double chocolate and it was fantastic. I've had gelato from many different stores, and this stacks up with the best. If you like quaint places and prefer to stay away from the overhyped chains, this place is for you. The British wit is a bonus, you have to stop by to understand.

Chocolate Strawberry's handmade ice cream is possibly the best I've ever had. I discovered it on a one week stay and couldn't keep myself from a daily trip. Every flavor I tried was incredible! Especially anything chocolate related. The chocolate peanut butter was my favorite, but according to Nigel (owner/master ice cream maker) the triple chocolate is the most popular. If Chocolate Strawberry had a more prominent location, EVERYONE on this island would know where to find the best ice cream. If you've read this review, you now know. Go get the best handmade ice cream around!

Awesome local chocolate store, along with homemade ice cream and gelato. The gelato is sooooo good!! Must get a couple flavors! The owner of the shop is what makes this place 5 star for me --- such a kind and lovely gentlemen! I have been here many times and he is always so nice and friendly!

DO NOT COME HERE!! We just left here 5 minutes ago and we received completely horrible service. When we entered no one so much as looked at us and the older female employee looked disgusted with our presence. We asked for a sample and the woman just shrugged it off like we never even asked. I ordered cookie dough on a sugar cone, and when she was scooping she gave me attitude claiming "you didn't ask for a sugar cone, you asked for a cake cone" in a very rude tone. This lady was very ignorant and inconsiderate and I regret coming here. The cookie dough in the ice cream was rock hard and all the candies looked old and disgusting. DO NOT COME HERE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. This store has horrible service, do yourself a favor and go to Coldstone Creamery instead.

Had a great time visiting Nigel after our dinners while on vacation! We came back quite a few times thanks to the amazing flavors he provided us with. The most popular is the triple chocolate, but some of my favorites were chocolate peanut butter and toasted coconut almond fudge. YUMMM!! His wonderful humor and fantastic ice cream were a definite highlight of our vacation. Thank you Nigel! A must try for Marco Island vacationers!!
